This is sometimes confused with the Two Way Barrel Tensioner. This Splice Buckle is to splice together two pieces of rail that together are less than 660' (so two short pieces). The manufacture recommends you stop and tension if the rail is longer than 660' with a Two Way Barrel Tensioner not a Splice Buckle.
